The story behind this design
Distressing a flag is a matter of restraint: too little and it looks like a printing fault, too much and the stars stop reading. The wear here is concentrated along the stripe edges and at the corners, where a real weathered flag frays first, and the star field is left comparatively intact. That asymmetry is what makes it look aged rather than damaged.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What sizes does this throw pillow come in?
A: Four square sizes are sold: 14 by 14, 16 by 16, 18 by 18 and 20 by 20 inches.
Q: Is the distressed look intentional?
A: Yes. The cracked color and worn stripe edges are drawn into the artwork on purpose, to give the flag a weathered, aged character.
Q: Is this the pillow or just the cover?
A: This listing is for the DipaliZ throw pillow itself. DipaliZ also sells a separate square pillowcase carrying a vintage flag design.
Q: Which size works best on a sofa?
A: The 18 by 18 and 20 by 20 inch sizes read well on a full-size sofa. The 14 by 14 inch size suits an armchair or a bed.
