The story behind this design
The rabbit is mid-motion with the ball, ears trailing behind it, which does most of the comic work. Proportions are deliberately off — the ball is too big, the legs too springy — so the drawing reads as cartoon rather than mascot. It is a court joke about a creature built entirely for jumping.
