DipaliZ plants a tree for every $20 you spend. Every tree goes into the ground in Au Sable State Forest in northern Lower Michigan, our home state. It's one small way an independent, women-owned Michigan brand can give back to the woods we love.

We started our tree planting program in 2025. Our numbers are small because we're a small brand. They're also real, and every order you place moves them forward. This page shows exactly how it works, where your trees grow, and how you can check our impact for yourself.

How It Works

• Spend $20: one tree planted
• Spend $60: three trees planted
• Spend $100: five trees planted

There's nothing extra to add at checkout, and it costs you nothing extra. DipaliZ funds every tree. Just shop as usual, and your trees are counted from what you spend.

From Your Order to the Forest

1. You place your order. Pick something you love at dipaliz.com.
2. Your impact is recorded. Our tree planting partner, GoodAPI, logs your trees automatically when your order comes in.
3. Your piece is made for you. Every item is made to order, printed after you order it, and ships within the USA after 1-3 business days of production.
4. Your trees are planted. Planting is funded through the Arbor Day Foundation and takes place in Au Sable State Forest during the planting season.
5. You can see the results. Our running totals are posted on our public impact dashboard for anyone to check.

Where Your Trees Grow

All DipaliZ trees are planted in Au Sable State Forest, Michigan (Lat: 44.786332, Long: -84.752448). This state forest stretches across northern Lower Michigan, where sandy plains, jack pine stands, and cold, clear rivers meet.

The Arbor Day Foundation has a long history in this part of Michigan. It has funded the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to replant jack pine across the northern Lower Peninsula, including 200,000 seedlings in a single project to restore wildlife habitat.

Why Au Sable State Forest Matters

• Rare wildlife: The Kirtland's warbler nests almost only in young, dense jack pine stands in Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula. Replanting jack pine gives this songbird room to raise its young.
• Clean rivers: Tree roots hold soil in place, which helps keep streams like the Au Sable River clear and cold for trout.
• Cleaner air: Growing trees pull carbon from the air and store it in their wood, roots, and soil.
• Healthy woods for the future: Replanting helps the forest recover, so Michigan families can keep hiking, camping, and fishing there for generations.

Removing Ocean-Bound Plastic

Trees are only half of our impact. Through GoodAPI, DipaliZ also funds the removal of ocean-bound plastic. That's plastic found near coastlines in places with limited waste collection, where it's likely to wash into the sea.

GoodAPI's plastic removal work is run with Plastic Bank in coastal communities in countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines, and Brazil. Local collectors gather plastic and bring it to collection branches. In return, they receive income and benefits like health insurance and school tuition. Each kilogram is weighed, logged, and tracked from collection to processing.
