About This Item
This DipaliZ canvas is a gallery wrap showing a cabin in Christmas winter, printed on 400gsm 100% cotton fabric and stretched over a frame 1.25 inches deep. A gallery wrap carries the image over the edges of the stretcher, so the sides are part of the picture and nothing needs framing afterward. Hanging hardware comes with it. Thirteen sizes are listed, from a 5 by 7 inch piece up to a 36 inch square, in landscape, portrait and square formats. It suits a hallway, a mantel, or a winter rotation on a gallery wall.

The story behind this design
A small cabin sits low in the frame under heavy snow, one window lit warm against everything else being cold: blue shadow in the drifts, gray-white sky, dark conifers crowding in behind. The whole picture turns on that single warm window, which is the oldest trick in winter painting and still the one that works. There is no figure and no path, so the cabin reads as somewhere reached rather than somewhere lived in.
