About This Item
This DipaliZ mug is a glossy black ceramic mug printed with a snowman and an igloo. It is made in 11 oz and 15 oz and is safe in the dishwasher and the microwave. Against the black base the pale tones in the snowman and the snow read far brighter than they would on white ceramic. A black snowman mug suits a darker kitchen, a desk, or anyone who finds white mugs forgettable. Sizes and materials are taken from this product's own specification.

The story behind this design
Black drinkware changes the arithmetic of a winter design: snow, which is normally the background, becomes the brightest ink on the mug. The snowman and igloo are drawn with that in mind, with the pale masses carrying the image and the outlines kept thin so they do not muddy against the dark glaze. It is the same subject as the white version and a completely different object to look at.
