An abstract design on something this small has to survive being cropped by the case, the buckle and the wearer’s wrist. This one is built from shapes large enough that any eight-centimeter window of the strap still looks composed: three or four overlapping forms, a couple of loose marks, nothing small enough to be lost. The palette is held to four tones so the strap never competes with the watch face.
