About the design
The duck is drawn side-on, mid-stride, with acorns tucked visibly everywhere they will fit — under a wing, in the beak, spilling from a small gathered pile at its feet. Oak leaves in russet and dull gold fill the space behind, giving the bird a ground to walk on rather than floating it on blank canvas. The linework is heavier than DipaliZ's plant totes, closer to a woodcut, which is what makes the illustration hold up on black canvas as well as beige.
