The story behind this design
Sunsets are the easiest thing in the world to overdo, so this one is built on just three bands of color and a single sun, with everything else left as silhouette. Palm fronds are drawn solid black at the edges, which gives the scene depth and, usefully, marks the corners of the face. On the round options the horizon becomes a chord across the circle; on the square one it runs the full width, and the two read quite differently on a wall.
