The story behind this design
The cat is drawn front-on with oversized eyes and whiskers that end in small glowing tips, which is the whole alien joke and the only odd thing about an otherwise ordinary cat. Line weight is kept heavy so the character survives being printed small on a youth chest. There is no spaceship, no planet and no lettering, because the face carries it.
