DipaliZ Patriotic Journal 250th Anniversary Metal Spiral

Fireworks and the Statue of Liberty share the cover of the DipaliZ Patriotic Journal, which marks the 250th anniversary of 1776. The pages are ruled. A metal spiral binding lets the notebook open flat and fold back. One size is offered. Of the commemorative covers in the DipaliZ range this is the celebratory one rather than the solemn one.

The story behind this design

The torch and crown are drawn in silhouette against a night sky, with fireworks bursting in warm gold and red above and behind them. Working in silhouette kept the statue recognizable without the cover turning into a tourist poster. The dark ground is what lets the bursts carry all the color.
