The story behind this design
An owl holding a globe is a library joke as much as a Halloween one, and the drawing plays it straight: the bird stands upright with a scholarly tilt of the head while the globe sits at its feet like a prop it has no intention of explaining. Fine hatching gives the feathers weight, and the globe's continents are reduced to three or four shapes so they stay readable at 3 by 4 inches.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What sizes does the DipaliZ owl and globe decal come in?
A: Four sizes are listed: 3 by 4 inches, 4 by 6 inches, 6 by 8 inches and 8 by 10 inches.
Q: What is the decal printed on?
A: White-base vinyl with a satin finish, kiss-cut so the shape lifts off its backing.
Q: Is this the same as the other DipaliZ Halloween owl decal?
A: No. This owl is shown with a globe. The other owl decal is a plain wide-eyed owl with no prop.
Q: Will the decal survive outdoors?
A: This listing describes the vinyl as UV, water and scratch resistant, which is what outdoor placement asks for.
