DipaliZ Anemone Floral Canvas with Natural Pine Frame

The DipaliZ Anemone Floral Canvas is a stretched canvas print measuring 1.25 inches deep. Thirteen horizontal sizes are offered, from 14 by 11 inches up to 36 by 24 inches. The story behind this design

Anemones have a dark center ringed by pale petals, and that contrast is the whole engine of this painting. The centers are worked almost black so the eye lands on them first and travels outward; the petals are then kept deliberately pale, in blush and cream, so nothing competes. The oil-style brushwork is left visible at the petal edges rather than blended smooth, which is what keeps a pastel picture from turning bland.
