About This Item
The DipaliZ Aquaholic Fish Acrylic Statue is a free-standing acrylic figurine cut to the shape of a fish. The piece measures 5 inches by 5 inches and is made from 100% acrylic with a mirror-backed print. The artwork is a bright tropical fish with the word aquaholic worked into the design. It stands on its own, so it suits a desk, a shelf or the top of an aquarium cabinet.

The story behind this design
The fish is built from flat blocks of color rather than shading, in the oranges, teals and yellows you would find on a reef. Its fins are exaggerated and its eye is oversized, which pushes the drawing toward cartoon and away from field guide. Behind it the mirror backing gives the whole figure a wet shine, which is a useful trick for a subject that lives underwater.
