The story behind this design
Aquaholic is a pun worn plainly: the word is set in a wave-like script whose letters rise and fall as though carried on swell. Sea creatures are tucked into the counters of the letters rather than placed around them, so the joke and the illustration are one object. Blues and aquas run through the lettering from dark at the base to pale at the crests.
