The story behind this design
Pale shirts let a print use its darkest values, so this Aquaholic artwork is drawn in deep ink blues that would disappear entirely on the black version. Flowers are worked in among the water motifs, which is unusual for the range and gives this shirt a softer reading than the fish-only designs. On Orchid the blues turn slightly violet, which was clearly anticipated.
