The story behind this design
The frosted jar is the design decision here, and everything else defers to it. Clear glass shows you the wax and the wick and the melt pool; frosted glass shows you none of that and gives back an even wall of light instead. The label is kept pale and narrow so it does not interrupt that wall, and the type sits low on the vessel. Lit in a dim room the whole jar turns the color of the flame, which is why this one ends up in bathrooms and on bedside tables.

Care
Trim the wick to about a quarter inch before each burn. Let the first burn pool the wax to the glass. Keep burns under four hours, stand the jar on a heat-safe surface away from drafts, never leave it unattended, and stop once about half an inch of wax remains.
