Abstract
About This Item
The DipaliZ Abstract Satin Poster is a printed paper poster with a satin finish, offered in ten sizes from 11 by 14 inches up to 36 by 24 inches. Abstract shapes and color fields fill the sheet with no representational subject anywhere. Both portrait and landscape proportions are offered, along with a square 14 by 14 inch option. This poster suits gallery walls, rented flats and rooms that need color rather than a picture of something.

The story behind this design
An abstract has to survive being printed at ten different aspect ratios, which rules out any composition that depends on a single focal point. This design is built from overlapping color fields spread across the whole sheet, so a square crop and a tall crop both hold together. The palette is contemporary rather than primary, which is what lets it sit in a room without dominating it.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What sizes does the DipaliZ Abstract Satin Poster come in?
A: Ten sizes are offered: 11 by 14, 14 by 11, 12 by 18, 14 by 14, 16 by 20, 20 by 16, 18 by 24, 24 by 18, 30 by 20 and 36 by 24 inches.

A: No. This listing is the printed poster on its own, so you choose your own frame or hang it unframed.
Q: What is a satin poster?
A: A poster printed on satin-finish paper, which sits between matte and gloss and holds color without a hard shine.
Q: Which sizes suit a gallery wall?
A: The smaller sizes work best in a group - 11 by 14 and 12 by 18 hang well together - while 30 by 20 and 36 by 24 are made to be the single piece on a wall.
Care
Handle the print by its edges and hang it out of direct sunlight, which fades any paper print over time. Frame it behind glass if the room is humid.
