The story behind this design
The helmet is drawn face-on and almost symmetrical, so the visor becomes a mirror: the flag inside it is distorted along the curve, stripes bending where the glass turns away. Outside the visor the suit is left as plain line work with no shading at all, which keeps every bit of color inside the reflection and makes the eye go straight there.
