The story behind this design
The leaves on this one are drawn mid-fall, tilted at angles as though caught between branch and ground, and the spacing is deliberately uneven so no two areas of the towel repeat at a glance. Against the white waffle the colors read cleanly: rust, amber and a little brown. It is a straightforward autumn motif done with enough looseness that it does not look printed by machine.
