The story behind this design
The foxes are built from angular patches rather than drawn as smooth animals, with each ear, muzzle and tail made of a separate faceted shape in a slightly different tone. Between them, plain patches of oak leaf, acorn brown and burnt orange fill the gaps so the whole sock reads as a quilt with foxes hidden in it.
