About This Item
This DipaliZ placemat is made from 100% cotton twill in a double-layer construction and measures 18 inches by 14 inches. The print carries warm pumpkins, squash and drifting leaves in subdued vintage tones. Double-layer cotton gives the mat enough weight to stay flat on a table instead of curling at the corners. Hemmed edges finish all four sides, and the design is printed on one face. The story behind this design
Leaves in this pattern are drawn mid-fall rather than at rest, tilted and spaced as if caught in the air, which gives the mat movement that a static arrangement would not. The pumpkins and squash sit lower and heavier, anchoring the composition. Color is deliberately dulled throughout, closer to old printed cloth than to fresh paint.
