The story behind this design
Sunflowers sit awkwardly on small cloth because their heads want to dominate, so here they are cropped at the edges and balanced with a scatter of much smaller meadow flowers. The result is a print with a clear focal point that still leaves plenty of white showing through the waffle grid. The yellows are pulled back toward ochre so the towel belongs to the end of summer rather than the middle of it.
