The story behind this design
Drawn as an apothecary label rather than a cartoon: a single honeybee in fine line work, a ruled border, and the declaration set in a typewriter face as though somebody filled in a form. Honey golds and dark ink. It is made for the person who actually keeps hives and gets asked about it at every family gathering.

Care
Trim the wick to about a quarter of an inch before every burn and stand the jar on a level, heat-resistant surface away from drafts. Let the first burn run long enough for the melted wax to reach the edge of the glass, which helps the candle burn down evenly afterwards. Keep the lit candle within sight and away from children and pets, and stop burning once about half an inch of wax is left in the jar.
