DipaliZ Botanical Vintage Birds Tablet Folio Faux Leather

The Botanical Vintage Birds Tablet Folio is a PU faux leather iPad cover printed with birds among botanical engravings. Eight iPad fits are listed in the size options on this page. The drawing style borrows from old natural-history plates, with fine line work over muted washes. This DipaliZ folio closes over the screen so the tablet is covered on both faces.

The story behind this design

Natural-history plates were engraved first and colored afterwards, and that order shows here: every bird and leaf carries a fine dark outline, with the color sitting slightly inside it rather than filling it exactly. The palette is deliberately faded, closer to foxed paper than to a modern print. Birds perch rather than fly, which keeps the composition still.
