Black Abstract Pattern
About This Item
This DipaliZ bookmark is made of aluminum and carries a black abstract pattern on a white base. One size is offered. A slot at the top lets the bookmark hook over the edge of a page rather than sit loose between the leaves. Aluminum keeps the marker thin enough not to splay a spine, and it will not soften or curl the way a card bookmark does. Every measurement and material named here is taken from this listing's own size options and material record.

The story behind this design
The pattern works in two tones only, black on white, which is the most legible way to put an abstract design on something this narrow. Shapes break and reassemble down the length of the strip, so the composition reads differently depending on how far the bookmark is pulled out of the book. The mood is graphic and spare, closer to a book cover than to a gift novelty.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What is the DipaliZ aluminum bookmark made of?
A: It is made of aluminum.
Q: What size is it?
A: One size is offered, and the base color is white.
Q: How does the top slot work?
A: The slot at the top of the bookmark slides over the edge of a page, so the marker stays put when the book is closed or carried.
Q: Where is it made?
A: The bookmark is assembled in the USA.
Q: How is this different from the DipaliZ black abstract geometric bookmark?
A: Both are black-on-white aluminum bookmarks. This one uses freely drawn abstract shapes; the other works in strict geometric forms.
