The story behind this design
Blossom is drawn only where it will not get in the way: a drift down one side and a few loose petals falling into the lower corner, leaving the ruled middle of the sheet clear. The pinks are kept pale enough that pen shows over them. It is a spring motif built for a working desk rather than a scrapbook.
