The story behind this design
The spheres are shaded rather than flat, each one lit from the same upper-left point, so the strap reads as a row of small beads instead of a row of dots. Several blues are used at once, from a near-navy to a washed sky, and the lighter ones sit forward. The pattern is deliberately busy in the middle and calmer at the edges, which keeps printed text legible across it.
