The story behind this design
Small blooms and paisley curls are packed between bands of fine dotted texture, in the manner of a traditional block print rather than a photographic floral. Dusty rose, indigo and a faded gold repeat down the leg. The textured bands are what keep the eye moving; without them the density of the flowers would flatten into noise.
