The story behind this design
Eucalyptus sprigs are the one botanical that reads well on a floor, because the leaves are round and the stems are stiff, so nothing in the drawing looks trodden on. Here they are laid in long diagonals that follow the rectangle rather than fighting it, and the green is desaturated almost to sage so the pattern sits under furniture without competing. Against a warm off-white ground, the leaves stay visible even on the largest size.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What sizes does this area rug come in?
A: Six sizes: 24 by 36, 36 by 24, 36 by 60, 60 by 36, 48 by 72 and 72 by 48 inches.
Q: What is the rug made of?
A: 100% polyester chenille.
Q: Why are there paired sizes like 24 by 36 and 36 by 24?
A: Each size is offered in both orientations, so you can choose whether the rug runs long across the room or along it.
Q: Where would a rug this size be used?
A: The smaller sizes suit an entryway or a kitchen run. The 48 by 72 and 72 by 48 work under a coffee table or beside a bed.
Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting and blot spills straight away with a damp cloth rather than rubbing them. Spot clean with mild soap and let the rug dry fully before it goes back down.
