The story behind this design

A wreath is a difficult shape to fill without it turning into a clock face, and the trick used here is uneven spacing: carrots cluster at the lower left and thin to bare stems at the top right, so the ring reads as gathered rather than arranged. The greenery is drawn in a single fine pen line with no fill, which keeps the middle of the wreath open for the rabbit.
