The story behind this design
The T-bottom is what makes this a usable bag rather than a flat envelope - it opens out so the pouch stands up and you can see into it, which matters when the contents are small and loose. The artwork is placed with the figure centered on the front panel, so the wings fan toward the side seams rather than disappearing round the base.
