About This Item
The DipaliZ Cancer Zodiac Candle is a 9oz soy candle in a glass jar. The label is personalized: a name and a birth date are typed in on the product page, and the wording shown in the photographs is a sample. The artwork uses the Cancer crab together with the sign's glyph. Nine scents are offered, running from Clean Cotton through to Peppered Passionfruit, with an unscented option for anyone who wants the label alone.

The story behind this design
A crab is an awkward thing to put on a label: too literal and it looks like a seafood menu. The drawing here keeps the shell and the two claws as a near-symmetrical shape, which turns the animal into an emblem rather than an illustration. That symmetry also lets the glyph sit directly above it without the composition tipping to one side.

Care
Trim the wick before each burn and keep the flame away from drafts. Let the wax pool reach the edge of the jar on the first burn so the candle does not tunnel. Never leave a lit candle unattended, and stop burning once a small amount of wax is left in the base.
