Each cat in this print is caught mid-pose, one arched into a stretch, another folded forward with its tail straight up, and the flowers grow around them as though the mat had been laid in a border. The line work is fine and a little scratchy, so the animals read as drawn rather than rendered. On the Bay and Citrus grounds the botanical greens pick up the dye and the whole print sits back into the cloth.
