About This Item
The DipaliZ Blue Jay Bento Lunch Box is a compartmented meal container printed with a blue jay, sold in one size. Compartments are the point of a bento: a sandwich, a fruit and a dip travel together without touching. It is a reusable alternative to daily disposable packaging for a school lunch or a packed desk meal.

The story behind this design
A lunch box lid is a small landscape-shaped canvas, wider than it is tall, which suits a perched bird far better than a standing one. This blue jay sits in profile with the tail running toward one edge and the crest raised toward the other, filling the rectangle without being stretched to fit. Blues are layered rather than flat, which is how the bird reads as feathered at a glance.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What size is this bento box?
A: This listing sells one size.
Q: What is a bento box used for?
A: A bento box divides a packed meal into compartments so foods stay separate, which suits both a school lunch and adult meal prep.
Q: What is the design?
A: A blue jay illustration, printed onto the lid.
Q: Is this for children or adults?
A: Both. A bento box works as a school lunch container and as an adult meal prep box; the bird design is not aimed at either age in particular.
Care
Hand wash in warm soapy water and dry fully before storing with the lid off. Avoid abrasive scourers on the printed lid.
