The story behind this design

The sun is drawn as a half circle cut by a flat line, with three short rays above it, the shorthand a child would use and the better for it. The lettering curves along the top of the disc so the two elements lock together instead of stacking. Printed in one warm ink, the whole mark reads at a glance from a distance.
