About This Item
The DipaliZ Dragonfly Blossom Notepad is a ruled writing pad with single-sided tear-away pages. The design sets dragonflies among branches of cherry blossom. Every sheet is ruled and separates cleanly from the pad. Dragonflies and blossom together read as spring without naming a season.

The story behind this design
Dragonfly wings are the hardest thing in this drawing and they are handled by leaving them nearly empty: a fine vein structure and nothing else, so the blossom shows through them. The branches cross the page at an angle rather than sitting level, which is a convention from Japanese prints and the reason the design feels like a glimpse rather than an arrangement.
