About This Item
The DipaliZ Cherry Blossom Art Coasters are a set of four square cork coasters, each measuring 3.75 by 3.75 inches. Blossom branches in pale pink cross the face of every coaster. Cork soaks up the ring a cold glass leaves and softens the heat of a hot mug, so one set handles both. A spring table or a small housewarming gift is where this set belongs.

The story behind this design
Blossom is a diagonal subject and a coaster is a square, which is the whole design problem here. Running the branch corner to corner rather than side to side gives it the longest line the square allows, and the flowers cluster toward one end so the other stays quiet for the glass to sit on. The pink is held back deliberately so the cork tone reads as part of the picture.

Care
Wipe the coasters with a damp cloth and dry them at once rather than soaking them, since cork takes up water. Keep them out of the dishwasher and away from direct heat.
