About This Item
This DipaliZ ornament is a round glass decoration showing a reindeer standing beside a snowbound cabin. The glass is 100% glass with beveled edges, which catch light along the rim. One round size is listed, and quantities run from a single piece up to fifty. Unlike the plain reindeer ornament in the same range, this one is a scene rather than a motif, with a building, a ground line and snow, so it reads as a small picture on the tree. It suits a tree hung with story ornaments, or a single piece given to mark a year.

The story behind this design
The cabin sits back on the right with snow heaped on its roof and one window lit, and the reindeer stands forward and left, head slightly turned. Snow on the ground is handled as flat white with pale blue hollows, and the sky behind is left clear so the glass shows through. Giving the animal a place to stand is what separates this from the plain reindeer design: there is somewhere it has come from.
