The story behind this design
The print is a loose arrangement of Christmas decorations across the natural linen ground, which shows through between the motifs and gives the whole thing a slightly faded, vintage look. Reds and greens are muted rather than bright, partly by choice and partly because linen takes ink softly. The result looks closer to an old printed grain sack than to modern wrapping paper.
