The story behind this design
The trees are drawn as flat triangular silhouettes, stacked in even rows the way a knitting chart forces a motif to behave. DipaliZ let the snowflake bands do the breathing between them, so the eye gets a rest before the next row of forest. It is a pattern built out of restraint: two motifs, strict rows, and no attempt to be funny about Christmas.
