The story behind this design
The flowers are painted loosely, the way watercolor blooms spread when the paper is still wet, and the palette stays inside one family: pale sky, cornflower, deep harbour blue. White gaps between the stems keep the whole thing airy. It is the blue of a beach umbrella seen from underneath.
