The story behind this design
Palm fronds are drawn large enough that a single leaf spans a good part of the chest, which is what separates this from a small repeating leaf print. The coconuts give the eye somewhere to land in among all that foliage, and the greens are layered in several depths so the canopy reads as having space behind it rather than being one flat wall of leaves.
