The story behind this design
Stacked spines, a steaming cup and a pair of reading glasses make up the whole scene, drawn in flat line with almost no shading. The books lean rather than stand square, which is the detail that keeps the picture from looking like a shop display and makes it read as someone's own pile. On the Navy and Black totes the line is reversed out in white and the design gets quieter.
