About This Item
The DipaliZ colorblock desk mat is a printed rectangular mat for a desk, sized to sit under a keyboard and mouse. Three sizes are sold: 14.4" x 12.1", 23.6" x 13.8" and 31.5" x 15.5". The colorblock design uses flat panels of color rather than a repeating motif, so the mat reads as a single graphic across its whole width. The largest size spans a full keyboard-and-mouse working area, and the smallest suits a mouse alone. Sizes are taken from this product's own specification.

The story behind this design
Colorblocking works by refusing detail: large flat fields of color meeting at hard edges, with nothing smaller to distract the eye. On a desk mat that pays off, because the surface is mostly covered by a keyboard anyway and what shows is the border. The mood is bold and graphic, built to read from across a room rather than up close.
