The story behind this design
Whole and halved fruit are packed across the board with almost no ground showing — watermelon wedges, citrus halves, strawberries, grapes — each one drawn flat with a darker outline. The color runs hot and unmixed, more market stall than still life. Printing it on glass gives the whole thing a wet gloss that suits the subject. The mood is abundance.
