The story behind this design

Kawaii drawing lives or dies on the face, so the features here are set low and wide with plenty of cheek, which is what makes a simple oval read as a kitten. Stars are scattered at three different sizes to give the square depth without adding a background. The palette is pale peach and cream with a single darker outline, warm enough to show up on a white laptop as well as a dark one.
