The story behind this design
Flamingos are usually drawn as a single silhouette against a flat pink ground, which is why most flamingo prints look the same. This one puts the birds among foliage instead, so the greens carry as much of the design as the pink does. Standing legs and long necks give the pattern vertical lines that break up a horizontal blanket nicely.
