The plaid is drawn at a generous scale, with the widest bands running several inches across, because a fine check printed on a plush pile turns to mush. The colorway stays in the traditional register of a lodge blanket, a deep red crossed with charcoal and a thin cream overcheck, but the pile gives it a softness no real flannel has.
