About This Item
This is a sherpa fleece blanket by DipaliZ carrying a floral design. Sherpa has a deep curled pile that imitates shearling, so this is among the heaviest and warmest blankets DipaliZ makes. Two sizes are offered, 50 by 60 inches and 60 by 80 inches, each with a Grey or Beige backing. The blanket is built for a couch in winter, and at the larger size it is heavy enough to feel weighted across the legs.

The story behind this design
Florals on sherpa have to be drawn bigger than florals anywhere else, because the curled pile softens every edge and swallows fine stems. This design answers that with large open blooms and thick petals in dusty rose and sage, spaced well apart so the pile has room to blur them without turning the pattern to mush. Against the Beige backing it reads warm and faded, almost like an old quilt; on Grey it cools down and the sage comes forward.
