The DipaliZ Floral Print Blanket is a velveteen plush throw printed with an original floral design. The blanket comes in three sizes: 30 by 40 inches, 50 by 60 inches and 60 by 80 inches. The story behind this design
Velveteen takes ink differently from a flat woven cloth: the pile scatters light, so edges soften and colors deepen. This floral was drawn with that in mind, using broad petal shapes and a limited palette rather than fine linework that the pile would swallow. The result reads more like a painted textile than a photographic print.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What sizes does the DipaliZ floral velveteen blanket come in?
A: The blanket is offered in three sizes: 30 by 40 inches, 50 by 60 inches and 60 by 80 inches.
Q: Which size suits one person on a sofa?
A: The 50 by 60 inch size is the usual single-person throw. The 30 by 40 inch size is a lap or crib blanket, and 60 by 80 inches covers a twin bed.
Q: Is the floral design printed on both sides?
A: The artwork is printed on the plush face of the blanket, which is the side shown in the listing images.
Q: Is this a blanket or a bedspread?
A: This is a throw blanket. In the largest 60 by 80 inch size it covers a twin bed, but it is not sold as a fitted bedspread or a quilt set.
Care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and wash the blanket on its own so the pile does not pick up lint. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low, and skip the iron, which flattens velveteen.
